Nice and cheap usb mic.
Buttons work a treat in rock band.
Only comment that may be useful is it is very very light (compared to original rock band mic). Dunno if this would bother you - did take a bit of getting used to.
Controls are practical

The quality is great, controls being on the mic itself are useful caus you don't need the controler. However, we find the wire too short (wich is the reason I gave only 4 stars). If you are four or more playing, you may find that you do not have enough plug connections on the console (only three on the elite). I later bought the two wireless mics that come with the lips game, and we definitely prefer wireless.

Has all the buttons you need for Rockband. Works a thousand times better than the Microsoft headset for Xbox and I am really glad I invested a few quid in my Rockband set. Might not like the wire, but for this price I couldn't care less! Love it!

So, basically, this is a bargain and a piece equipment that all of you guys who enjoy musc games should get. 9 bucks, shipping included... come on... i've read complaints about the buttons not being responsive enough but i didn't feel that myself. plus, the d-pad on the GH guitars are ridiculously unresponsive but no one cares because they are there just to navigate menus and for that purpose you dont need such an amazing thing.
to my surprise, i received what seems to be an evolution of the first model and it clearly says RB2 on the packaging, the only difference being the disposition of the buttons and the ring thingy that frames the mic wiry thing, which is grey instead of black. The only con ive found in my only attempt was that it feels kinda cheap because its really light (its a toy after all, right?) but the convenience of having the buttons build in makes up for anything else. One last thing to mention in favor of this thing is the size, which in spite of its lighter weight, is closer to a real mic. 5/5
