  Lego - love it. Build small houses, cars, planes, spaceships. Doesn't matter what age you are - it's just fun.
  
  And Rockband, forget guitar hero. The development team behind this are the ones that created the original guitar hero. Every game they make in the series exudes quality and guarantees fun.
  
  So it's logical right? Rockband + Lego = even more fun.
  
  Unfortunately despite the fact I adored lego R2D2, bowed before the great Lego Indiana Jones and have loved the other iterations of rockband, Lego rockband just does not work.
  Maybe it's the track list, which while I enjoyed contained a few too many Amercian pop rock misses.
  Maybe it's the garage hub, which is far too frustrating and slow to navigate.
  Or maybe it's the slow progress in the story mode making it difficult to unlock the songs quickly.
  
  Whatever it is though the core gameplay of the Rockband series only just saves the day. Along with gems such as "Make me Smile (Come up and see me)", "A-Punk" and guaranteed hit at any party "The Final Countdown" it makes it a reasonable purchase if you like this kind of stuff and you can get it for less than £15. Besides in the end if you don't like the Lego part of it you can always download the soundtrack into your previous version of Rockband (for a small fee of course)

  I have Band Hero and bought this after having exhausted the disc that comes with the band. There is a good range of music on this, the 'story' bit is a bit weird but the graphics are good and the challenges great to play with others. Worth buying!
